Bucharest is no longer building, the residential market has collapsed

The number of building permits has been significantly reduced in recent years, even by half, especially in the period 2021-2024. The interest moved to the neighboring areas of the Capital in Ilfov county.

There are very few new projects in Bucharest, there are not many renovations anymore, and what is being built is based more on authorizations granted some time ago, say the players in the market, who claim that the fault belongs to the General City Hall of the Capital.
