Hotnews has centralized Results from 12 opinion polls which measures the intention to vote for the main five candidates registered in the presidential race. Although each survey offers a punctual score, when we look at them as a whole, notable differences appear between the results presented by the probing institutes and the periods during which the data were collected.

To better understand the positioning of each candidate, we compared the minimum and maximum values recorded in the 12 surveys, but also two essential statistical landmarks: medianwhich shows the most representative score, and mediatewhich offers a general view, but sensitive to extremes. The differences between the two tell us an interesting story about the public perception and how the polls can influence or distort expectations.

If there is Large differences between average and medianmeans the data is asymmetrical or exist very large differences between the results of the polls, that pull the average up or down.
