Every gardener dreams of a rich harvest of fleshy tomatoes. However, during the flowering period, tomatoes begin to “be capricious” and drop their buds.
It is during this phase of cultural development that they require maximum attention. The quantity and quality of future fruits directly depends on how well the ovaries form.
What do tomatoes need during flowering?
The most important elements during this period are potassium, phosphorus and boron. This complex fertilizer activates the formation of ovaries, stops the shedding of buds and strengthens the plant’s immunity.
How to prepare fertilizer
Dissolve 2 g of boric acid in a glass of hot water and mix thoroughly. After this, add plain water to the mixture until the total volume of liquid reaches 10 liters.
Then add 1 teaspoon of potassium monophosphate to the resulting composition, mix everything again and pour the finished product into the sprayer.
How to process tomatoes
Experienced gardener Victoria Radzevskaya advises spraying tomatoes with the solution in the evening once a week. With this approach, plants quickly absorb all the necessary microelements. As a result, each flower turns into a full-fledged fruit, and the risk of losing the ovary is minimized.
