Tense moment in Marseille – Atalanta 0-1: Ademola Lookman barked at the moment of the change, and his coach, Ivan Juric, jerked him!
Last night, Atalanta got their second win of this European season, 1-0 at Marseille. But it wasn't all rosy for the visitors, with success partly overshadowed by a tussle between coach Ivan Juric and star Ademola Lookman.

Scandal at Atalanta: Juric jerked his player!
In the 75th minute, Juric decided to replace Lookman with Yunus Musah. The Nigerian looked disturbed as he made his way to the side of the pitch, and as he passed the coach he said something that irritated him to the core.
The Croat reacted immediately, he turned and violently grabbed Lookman's armat which point a staff member intervened to separate them. Other people from the Atalanta delegation appeared to calm the footballer down.

According to Sky Italia, the tension remained in the air even after the final whistle. As the players celebrated the win on the pitch, Lookman headed towards the locker room, prompting Juric to hurl harsh words at him.
Ivan Juric: “Things we solve in the locker room”
A little later, in interviews, Juric tried to defuse the situation.
“It's the usual thing we comment on every week. It happened with De Bruyne at Napoli too – some players are not happy when they are substituted, they don't react well and we deal with these things in the dressing room.
We all know these situations, we have experienced them as players and as coaches, they happen in the heat of the moment. Atalanta is important – the club, the team and the fans. We're doing what's right for the team and I think you have to give your best. I understand it, I accept it and we move on,” commented Juric, quoted by sportal.bg.

It is not the first time that Ademola Lookman has found herself in the middle of a scandal. During the tenure of the previous coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, Lookman was set up after missing a penalty that he shouldn't have taken. After the match, his own manager described him as “the worst penalty taker I've ever seen”.

Lookman wanted to leave Atalanta this summer, being wanted by Inter Milan, but the clubs could not agree on a transfer fee.
