Roman Abramovich was forced to give up Chelsea, a club he bought in 2003, because of the war triggered by Russia in Ukraine. The former patron of the “blue” spoke about the last times 3 years and revealed if he will ever invest in football.
Known as a close relative of Vladimir Putin, which is recognized by Abramovich himself, Chelsea's former owner was forced by the British government to give up the club, who was purchased by Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital, in exchange for pounds 2.5 billion. The Russian had bought the London club in 2003, in exchange for the amount of 140 million pounds.

Roman Abramovich does not want to get involved in football: “For me this chapter has ended”
Chelsea experienced the greatest success in Roman Abramovich's era. In addition to the 5 premier League titles, the Londoners also won 2 champions leagues. However, Abramovich was driven from the UK and regrets that he did not even say goodbye to the former team.
“Maybe, one day, there will be an opportunity to attend a match and say goodbye, but nothing more than that.
I have no interest in a role in a football club, let alone a professional one.
Maybe I could be involved in a project related to academies and supporting young people, giving them more likely to those who come from difficult environments, if there was an initiative that could really have an impact.
But in terms of holding a club or involving in an official role, this chapter has ended for me, ”said Roman Abramovich, quoted by the Daily Mail.
The Russian claims that the British government has brought false accusations to it: “There is an old Russian proverb that says, “Dogs bark, but the caravan goes on.”
Whatever I do, there will always be someone to accuse me of having a hidden agenda. In the end, all I did was from the sincere desire to help, ”he added.
