Currants will burst with berries: November watering with “bone power” will awaken sleeping buds at the moment

The November garden seems to be sleeping, but right now the currant roots are actively working, storing nutrients for the next season. At this time, you can lay the foundation for an incredible harvest with the help of a simple but powerful fertilizer: bone meal. This natural product will become a real “alarm clock” for sleeping kidneys.

Bone meal is a rich source of phosphorus and calcium, which are necessary for the formation of flower buds and strengthening the root system. Slowly dissolving, it nourishes the bush all winter and spring, providing a powerful start to the growing season.

Recipe for the November “elixir”:

  • Bone meal – 150 g per adult bush;
  • Wood ash – 1 cup;
  • Water – 10 l.

Dissolve the ingredients in warm water and let it brew for 2-3 hours.

Correct watering technology:

  1. Make a circular groove along the projection of the crown of the bush.
  2. Spill with plain water (5-7 liters per bush).
  3. Distribute the nutrient solution evenly.
  4. Fill the ditch with soil and mulch with compost.

Already next spring you will notice how the currants are literally strewn with clusters of flowers. And in summer the branches will bend under the weight of large, sweet berries. The effect on old bushes is especially impressive; they seem to look younger before our eyes.

This method is suitable for all types of currants: black, red and white. For better results, you can repeat feeding in early spring, on melted snow.
