In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 107 people are treated for tick -borne encephalitis, Rospotrebnadzor said.
In total, from the beginning of the season, 12,921 people turned to the doctors with complaints of sucking ticks to the doctors. Of these, 217 people fell ill (about 1.7 % of those who are applying). In 107 people, doctors diagnosed tick -borne viral encephalitis, 96 confirmed borreliosis, and in 13 cases confirmed – Siberian tick typhoid. Another person was infected with erlichiosis.
The Rospotrebnadzor noted that for the second week in the Krasnoyarsk Territory there has been a decline in tick activity. Over the past 7 days, 451 residents of the region have suffered from them, including 85 children.
“Reducing the activity of ticks does not mean a decrease in the risk of infection infection, so prevention measures must be observed“, – Council in Rospotrebnadzor.
