In the village of Kozhany, Balakhtinsky district, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 16-year-old girl died as a result of a fire. This was reported to the regional Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tragedy occurred in an apartment on the 5th floor on November 4 at eight o'clock in the evening. It was established that the minor was in the room, and her mother and younger brother were in the kitchen. At the time of the fire, the woman and her son ran out of the apartment, and when they returned, they were unable to get to their daughter due to heavy smoke. She herself also did not have time to get out.
The body of a girl with signs of poisoning from combustion products was found while extinguishing the fire.
“The area of the fire was 50 square meters. 10 people and 4 pieces of equipment fought the fire. According to preliminary data, a short circuit in the TV was to blame,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
An investigation into the incident is being carried out, and forensic medical examinations have been ordered to establish the exact cause of the fire and the girl’s death. Based on the results, a procedural decision will be made.
