Four thieves stole a safe with money and jewelry worth 20,000 euros from a home in the capital
A robbery took place in Sector 2 of the Capital, where four men are suspected of stealing from a house a safe in furniture, in which there were money and jewelry worth about 20,000 euros. Thieves would have done such facts in the past.
According to policemen, the robbers would have used improvised tools to detach the safe, acting with experience and without hesitation, a sign that they are not at the first deed of this kind.
The alert of the authorities was done after the owner of the house called 112 to advertise the theft. Following the investigations, investigators identified four suspects, all with criminal records for similar crimes.
The masks went down to their homes, where prosecutors raised important evidence – including the tools used for breaking and several jewelry.
“Yesterday, August 13, 2025, police officers from the General Police Directorate of Bucharest-Criminal Investigation Service have implemented 5 home search warrants, in Ilfov county, in a criminal file in which investigations are carried out in the aspect of committing the crime of qualified theft”, The Romanian Police specifies.
Three of the men were detained for 24 hours and taken to hearings, and the fourth is still sought by the police.
In this case, a criminal case for qualified theft was opened.
