The AUR leadership met on Monday, from 19.00, in a meeting at the Parliament to decide by vote who it will support for the Capital City Hall. Anca Alexandrescu arrived at the Parliament Palace a little after 18.00.

“I will speak later at the press conference,” Anca Alexandrescu told reporters when she arrived, refusing to answer any further questions.
AUR leader George Simion and Anca Alexandrescu will hold joint press statements starting at 8:30 p.m.
The party's representatives did not explicitly say who they are supporting in the Capital City Hall elections, on December 7. Today they declared that Anca Alexandrescu could be an option for the Capital City Hall, and AUR Senator Petrișor Peiu said, since last week in a press conference, that other options are also being considered.
And the first vice-president of the party, Marius Lulea, said on Monday, in a press conference at the Parliament, when asked about the AUR candidate for Bucharest City Hall, that “there are more options, you will find out tonight”.

HotNews spoke to several people from AUR who will be present at tonight's decisive meeting. None of them specifically said that Anca Alexandrescu will receive the support of AUR, but they admitted that she is the favorite at the moment.
“We will most likely bet on Mrs. Anca Alexandrescu,” an AUR member told HotNews since Sunday, who wanted confidentiality, reasoning that the party wants to make an official announcement after the meeting on Monday evening.
“There is also the possibility that we will not participate in the elections at all,” the same person said on Monday.
Another important member admits that there will be a vote regarding the support of Anca Alexandrescu, but qualified his statement: “But let's see if there will be a vote for or a vote against“.
