The award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the regional stage of the International Prize #WEARETOGETHER took place in Krasnoyarsk. The regional government said that it is awarded for the best civil initiatives.
Among the winners and prize-winners are schoolchildren, teachers, government officials, heads of public associations, non-profit organizations, and pensioners. Thus, first place in the “Generation of Good” nomination was awarded to Valeria Shilova, a student of the Novosydinskaya school in the Idrinsko-Krasnoturansky municipal district. She developed the “SMOTRI Media Volunteers” project, within which volunteers use social networks to tell residents about socially significant events in the district.
The project “ZOV “Kedrovy+”” by Krasnoyarsk pensioner Vladimir Zhmurov became the best in the “Heroes of Our Time” category. Together with like-minded people, Vladimir Vitalievich initiates the collection of humanitarian aid for SVO participants, organizes training for volunteers in weaving camouflage and anti-drone nets.
The authors of social projects were greeted by the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov. The head of the region presented them with letters of gratitude and congratulated them on the upcoming National Unity Day.
“It is symbolic that we are summing up the results of the regional stage of the award on the eve of a national holiday. The lessons of history have long taught that as long as we are united, as long as we are shoulder to shoulder, not a single enemy will ever take our country. You show initiative and activity where many people think nothing can be done. But your energy and willingness to implement unique social projects will definitely allow us to solve the most difficult problems together. After all, every project contains love for one’s neighbor, compassion, care, the desire to make people’s lives much better,” said Mikhail Kotyukov.
In total, residents of the region submitted 515 applications to the competition, and 23 social projects were the best. Three applications from the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the categories “Territory” and “Personality” reached the finals of the federal stage award. The summing up ceremony will take place on December 2 in Moscow.
Let us add that the International Prize #WEARETOGETHER is held within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”.
