In Krasnoyarsk, an indoor padel court was opened at the Central Stadium. The regional Ministry of Sports said that the space will become part of the future phygital zone.

“Last year we opened an outdoor court and spent the summer actively training on two courts. But in order to continue training for students and prepare employees for all-Russian and international competitions, we have opened a platform that will allow training at any time of the year. This space will become part of the future phygital zone – for drone flights, phygital games in various sports and, of course, the new padel-phygital discipline, which we will actively develop,” said Sergey Venevtsev, director of the Krasnoyarsk Olympic Reserve College.

The newly opened court has already aroused the interest of Chinese representatives. The guest of honor at the opening was the President of the Beijing International Company for the Development of Sports and Culture ICAS Wei Yubin.

“I came to you after the first international racquet sports tournament in Moscow, got acquainted with your brilliant objects and want to tell our Chinese athletes about them. We are already planning active cooperation. We will continue to invite players from Krasnoyarsk to our tournaments and plan to bring Chinese athletes for joint training and exchange of experience,” said Wei Yubin.

After the official opening, a master class was held, where a guest from Beijing demonstrated the technique and basic techniques of playing padel. The event ended with a tournament in which the winners and prize-winners of all-Russian and international competitions in racquet sports took part.

Let us remind you that earlier it became known that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory they plan to build 9 large sports facilities in three years.

According to government plans, by 2030 the share of people involved in sports and physical education in the region should reach 70%. The same value is planned to be achieved for the indicator of satisfaction with the conditions for classes. This will be facilitated by new sports facilities, the implementation of the “Yard Instructor” and “Siberian Longevity” projects, support for clubs in the area of residence, youth, student and corporate sports, public sports organizations, and the development of adaptive sports.
