Konrad Berkowicz and his declaration of assets. What does a Confederate MP have?


Konrad Berkowicz, envoy Confederation and vice-president of the New Hope party, found himself in the spotlight – he was punished mandate after he tried to take it out of the store IKEA goods worth nearly PLN 400, said Radio ZET journalist Mariusz Gierszewski. The MP was detained by security behind the cash registers. He attributes the incident to inattention.
In his latest asset declaration (from April 2025), Konrad Berkowicz declares that he has accumulated savings of PLN 11.2 thousand. PLN in Polish currency and 148 thousand PLN in cryptocurrencies.

The MP does not have a house, apartment or other property. It has financial liabilities – a loan for PLN 29.9 thousand. zloty. He owns two cars – a 2007 Toyota Rav4 and a 2019 BMW X3.
According to the declaration of assets, the MP's income in the previous year was: 177.9 thousand zloty due to parliamentary emoluments.

Who is Konrad Berkowicz? The MP got a mandate at IKEA
Konrad Berkowicz was born in 1984 in Kraków. He grew up in Trzcinica near Jasło. He obtained a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Warsaw.

He is the first vice-president of the New Hope party and a member of the Sejm. In 2019, he won a parliamentary seat in the Kraków district, running from the Confederation list. In the 2023 elections, he successfully ran for re-election as a member of parliament.
In the local elections, he unsuccessfully ran for the office of the mayor of Krakow three times (the last time in 2024). He ran unsuccessfully in the European elections four times.
The police fined Berkowicz PLN 500, which the politician accepted. The theft concerned small household items worth approximately PLN 390.
The politician explains the incident as inattention. “Simple inattention. A frying pan and plates. A stupid mistake for which I apologized and accepted the fine,” reads the MP's statement posted on social media.
