More loans were granted in September than a year ago

In September this year were granted by 11%. more cash loans up to 60 days than a year ago and by 22 percent more loans for periods over 60 days – according to the report of the Credit Information Bureau. The average value of loans granted also increased.

On the other hand the value of cash loans for periods over 60 days amounted to PLN 475 million, and the number of loans granted was 76 thousand. pcs. – compared to September 2024, this means an increase in value terms by 31.2% and in numerical terms by 22.6%. The average value of a cash loan granted in September 2025 for a period longer than 60 days was PLN 6,208 and was 7%. higher than the average amount granted in September 2024.

“In the segment of installment loans, in September 2025, lending companies granted a total of 892,000 of them for the amount of PLN 580 million. Installment loans are characterized by a low value of the amounts granted and their granting to finance a specific purpose, e.g. the purchase of goods or services, so the cash that the customer may have at their disposal is not directly made available to the customer. The number of newly granted installment loans in September this year increased by 28.6 percent y/y. In terms of value, the increase is lower and amounted to 19.1%. y/y.” – transferred.

The average value of the newly granted installment loan in September 2025 was PLN 650 and was 7.4% higher than in September 2025. lower than the average value of such a loan granted a year earlier.

The information emphasized that in the period January – September 2025, compared to the same period last year, loan companies granted 14.2% more loans. more cash loans for a period of up to 60 days, by 20.6 percent more cash loans for a period exceeding 60 days and 25.4 percent more installment loans.
