Chełm is preparing New Year's Eve with TV Republika. The station is asking for record support
According to jawnylublin.pl, the exact amount of funding entered in the documents of the voivodeship board is PLN 2,466,150. The funds are to come from the pool intended for the promotion of local government units. As local journalists note, the voivodeship marshal may grant the station a lower amount of support.

“We are contributing very strongly to this anyway. It is a gigantic promotion for the voivodeship, a great economic revival. It is about tourism and full restaurants, full hotels. Try to buy accommodation in Chełm. Soon there will be no more places to stay in Lublin.” – says Tomasz Sakiewicz to the portal virtualmedia.pl.
Currently, the station has not signed contracts with stars yet. “I think we will get to know the names around December 10. These are first-class stars, both Polish and foreign. Polish teams play out of love for the region, foreign ones are guided more by the amount of money they will receive,” explains Sakiewicz.
Additionally, talks between TV Republika and the city of Chełm are ongoing regarding funding, with the amount being discussed ranging from PLN 600,000 to PLN 800,000. PLN, with the predominance of the higher value, as the portal virtualmedia.pl writes.

Previous New Year's Eve and viewership
This is the second New Year's Eve in Chełm organized by TV Republika. As Jarosław Olechowski, head of the station's publishers, said at the end of October for the virtualmedia.pl portal, the plan is for the event to look similar to last year. “Knowing the rates that TVP paid for New Year's Eve, we do it for approximately 30 percent of TVP's budget,” Olechowski added.
Last year, the stage featured, among others: Bayer Full, MIG, Piękni i Młodzi, Defis, Don Vasyl, Milano, Elwira Mejk, Playboys, Andrzej Rosiewicz, Lombard, Kombi, Weekend, Top One, as well as foreign stars: Boney M., Captain Jack and Bad Boys Blue. New Year's Eve was hosted by two duos: Rafał Patyra with Anna Popek and Natalia Rzeźniczak with Adrian Borecki.
The average viewership of the broadcast amounted to 1.332 million viewers, which translated into 10.7%. share in the 4+ group and 6.8 percent in the group 16–59. These results were lower than those of the competition – in Polsat in Toruń the average was 3.06 million viewers, and in TVP2 in Chorzów 1.91 million viewerswrites the website virtualmedia.pl.
This year, Polsat's New Year's Eve will be held again in Toruń, and TVP's in Katowice. The Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis will pay TVP PLN 6 million for co-organizing the event
