CSM Bucharest made a laughingstock in the Handball Champions League. Gloria Bistrita, resounding victory

Yesterday, CSM București stumbled against the weakest team in group B of the Champions League in women's handball. After some decent results, the “tigresses” lost in Ljubljana, in front of Krim, a team that had consecutive defeats in the first 4 stages of the competition.

In Slovenia, the big favorites from Bucharest started badly and finished the game even worse, ending with a 31-27 victory for the hosts. The childish mistakes of Adi Vasile's students made the formation from Ljubljana break away from the table and keep the gap without any emotion.

After the third consecutive defeat away from home, CSM Bucharest, which also has two victories at home, fell to the 6th place in the group standings, the last one which would bring them a qualification in the play-off for the quarters.

Gloria Bistrita, unexpected success

Instead, Gloria Bistriţa achieved a superb victory. Against Esbjerg, a team that won the last two Final Fours in the Champions League for women's handball, the Transylvanians prevailed after a spectacular match, score 38-35, in the 5th stage of group A. Lorena Ostase was the MVP of the game, with 9 goals, followed closely by Delgado Pinto and Sonia Seraficeanu, each with 7 successes.

Gloria is in 3rd place, with good chances of qualifying for the next phase, especially since they are going to play 4 games considered easier, with the last two ranked, Buducnost and Dormtund (home and away).
