The number of deportations has increased in Germany, with the former Soviet republic among the leaders

According to the publication, from January to September of this year, 17,651 deportations were made, while for the same period in 2024 there were almost 3 thousand less, 14,706.

Most of the deportees were sent to Turkey (1614) and Georgia (1379).

Almost one in five people expelled from Germany were children or minors, and 54 were over 70 years old.

The situation with deportations from Germany was criticized in the Left party. In particular, the representative of the “Left” on legal policy, Clara Bünger, drew attention to the fact that in Turkey, where people are being deported en masse, “leftists, Kurds and oppositionists are oppressed,” but this is supposedly “not a problem in the current political conditions in Germany.”
