Krasnoyarsk resident Andrei Pronov, who previously worked as a lawyer at the mayor’s office, serves as deputy company commander in the Northern Military District zone. His story is published by gornovosti.ru as part of the “On the Frontline of Life” project.

Nine years ago, Andrey worked as a programmer, then received a law degree and got a job in the department of municipal services of Krasnoyarsk. In July 2023, he signed a contract and went to the front. At first he was assigned to an assault company as a senior rifleman, but was later transferred to the military police.

“For seven months he worked literally around the clock: he stood at checkpoints, stopped violations, caught members of sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” the publication reports.

In October 2024, Andrey was awarded the rank of lieutenant and appointed deputy company commander for military-political work.

Now he helps soldiers solve social issues: arranges payments, benefits, and works with relatives of military personnel. Andrey Pronov became a finalist of the “Siberian Character” program and was included in the personnel reserve for further work in the public service.
