Russia accused Kiev on Tuesday of the origin of the explosions that caused two bridges and train accidents in which seven people died and over 100 were injured, including AFP and EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

“It is obvious that the terrorists, acting on the orders of the Kiev regime, have planned everything with maximum accuracy for their attacks to affect hundreds of civilians,” the Russian investigation committee said in a statement.

The investigators have found fragments of explosive devices at the places of the train derailment and intend to bring to the justice the “organizers and authors of these inhuman crimes”, the source added.

The explosions occurred on Saturday night in Sunday in the Russian regions Kursk and Briansk, located on the border with Ukraine, and on the eve of the second round of negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul.

The explosions caused the derailment of a passenger train, a freight train and a control train, in which seven people died and 113 were injured, including minors, according to investigators. An investigation for “acts of terrorism” is in progress, according to the Investigation Committee. Ukraine has not reacted to these accusations so far.

Cases or attempts of sabotage on railways or other infrastructures in Russia, especially in the border regions, occur regularly from the beginning of the Russian offensive in Ukraine in February 2022. An operation that has caused such a balance of civil victims is unprecedented.

Also at the weekend, Ukraine targeted the Russian military aviation on a few aerodromes, up to thousands of kilometers from its borders, after clandestine introduced in Russia Explosive Drone, in a complex operation.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian security services claimed an explosive attack against the Kerci Bridge, already targeted by Kiev in 2022.
