How to restore soil fertility in the fall – without manure and dancing with a tambourine: an effective formula for a healthy garden

Summer residents grow various vegetables, berries, and fruits all summer. After several seasons, even the most fertile black soil is gradually depleted, turning into a dense substrate. But it is not necessary to apply a large amount of manure to restore fertility and restore the soil of life, writes the author of the Zen channel “Dacha with Luck” (16+).

A method that will help improve soil structure

This method is based on two key components that can be considered a natural and balanced elixir for the soil. Each component has its own unique role.

The first is wood ash, which not only supplies potassium, calcium, phosphorus and other important substances, but also deoxidizes the soil, improving its looseness, especially in clay areas.

The second is potassium magnesium, which works for long-term benefits for soil and plants.

To take advantage of all these benefits, you need to properly prepare the land:

  • Clear the bed of debris and plant debris
  • Loosen to a depth of 5-7 cm
  • Distribute the mixture of the two ingredients evenly
  • Work the mixture into the soil using a rake.
  • Sow green manure: a mixture of rye and vetch, which will serve as green fertilizer, frost protection and an additional source of nutrition.
  • To consolidate all the results, roll the ground with a light roller

The result is noticeable already in the first year: the yield of root crops will increase by 25-40%, and after a year the soil will become more structured. The natural immunity of plants will increase, which will reduce the need to use pesticides.

Such an integrated approach to autumn soil restoration without the use of manure is not only convenient and economical, but also environmentally friendly.
