In Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, at the hydropower technical school named after A.E. Bochkin held a Unified Open Day within the framework of the regional program “Professionalism for All”.

Specialists from the Krasnoyarsk HPP of the En+ company told high school students about how interesting and varied work at a hydroelectric power station can be. Now at the high-tech enterprise, equipment is being extensively changed to the most modern, and future young specialists will have to work on it. A tour was also held for schoolchildren so that they could see the hydroelectric power station with their own eyes.

Let us remind you that this year the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station joined the “Professionalism for All” program and created an educational and production cluster “Energostart” on the basis of the Divnogorsk Hydrotechnical College. 40 million rubles have been allocated to modernize the material and technical base and train employees. Students who have chosen the specialties “Power stations, networks, their relay protection and automation” and “Hydropower installations” can enter into targeted contracts with hydroelectric power plants. This guarantees them employment and an additional stipend. The training program lasts three years.

“There was a serious competitive selection for each of the specialties of the Energostart program. This year, 50 students have already started their studies. Thanks to cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant, students receive a sought-after applied education in conditions that are as close as possible to real production activities,” explained the director of the technical school, Nina Ufimtseva.

The teachers also completed an internship at the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station.

“I chose my place of study purposefully! I decided to support the dynasty of power engineers, my mother works at a hydroelectric power station, I also want to work at a hydroelectric power station and, perhaps, my children will continue the family business. I am inspired by the idea of providing the country with clean energy, helping nature and people. The studies are interesting and rich, the teachers are true professionals in their field. I am proud that I have chosen this path and am ready to work to become a worthy specialist!” said Matvey Polukhin, a 1st year student of the specialty “Hydropower Installations”.

The Divnogorsk Hydropower College is the “training ground” for the Krasnoyarsk HPP of the En+ company. Therefore, back in 2023, the En+ energy laboratory was opened here, where students get acquainted with high-tech processes for managing hydroelectric power plants.

“We are interested in young talented specialists coming to us. And so that the level and quality of their training meets our requirements, participation in professional training is a priority for us,” emphasized Stanislav Legenza, director of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant.

One of the specialties for which specialists are trained at Energostart is “Hydropower installations”. In Russia there are only two educational institutions where you can get this profession: Nevinnomyssk Energy College in the Stavropol Territory and Divnogorsk Hydropower College in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

“I live in the city of Divnogorsk and have been interested in energy since childhood! It’s great that there is an opportunity to study in your hometown and get a profession with a guarantee of employment at hydroelectric power plants!” said Egor Popov, a 1st year student of the specialty “Hydroelectric Power Plants”.
