A new drone factory will be built in Sochaczew. Production next year


The mentioned special purpose vehicle is Hornet-Polskie Drony, which was established in August this year. with share capital of PLN 50,000 zloty. As reported, ITWL obtained the consent of the Minister of National Defense for the transaction, and the agreement was concluded subject to the consent of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection to the planned concentration.
The activities of the special purpose vehicle will include primarily: production of unmanned aerial weapon systems (BPSU).
Factory in Sochaczew
It was added that Boryszew and ITWL signed a cooperation agreement under which Boryszew will provide, among others: financing to the extent necessary to commission and cover the costs of research and development work and implementation of a trial batch of dronesand will also lease an industrial area enabling the special purpose vehicle conducting production within the Boryszew ERG branch located in Sochaczew.
Detailed rules of cooperation, including mutual obligations of the parties regarding the target production of BPSU, will be included in a separate investment agreement, with ITWL planning to contribute to the special purpose vehicle in the form of know-how related to the production of BPSU, and Boryszew plans to provide financing for the company's activities and support based on the existing infrastructure of the Boryszew ERG branch.
After obtaining appropriate permits and licenses, the commencement of operational activities of Hornet-Polskie Drony Spółka z o. o. is planned for the second quarter of 2026.
Boryszew's shares have not reacted to the new news yet. The rate increases by only 0.3%. up to PLN 6.52. Boryszew's main business profile is the production of car parts and coolants, but also the production of products made of copper, zinc, lead, aluminum and their alloys.
