Krasnoyarsk resident helped publish Gogol's story in Bangladesh

The difficulty lay not only in the difference in languages, but also in mentality, and even climate – Rubtsov sang of the Russian winter, which the translator had never seen.

The successful collaboration continued with work on Gogol's Viy. The book became an instant hit among Bengali readers, with over 150 copies sold out on the first day along with pre-orders.
