A cryptocurrency company makes an acquisition offer for Juventus and promises to invest 1 billion euros!

In a situation that could radically change the landscape of Serie A football, the cryptocurrency company Tether has submitted an official offer for the acquisition of the majority stake in the Juventus club, committing at the same time to investments worth one billion euros, writes sportal.gr.

The news was made public on Friday evening, through an announcement by Tether, which operates in the field of digital currencies. The proposal is addressed to Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli family, which owns the majority of the Turin club.

According to the announcement, if the deal is completed, Tether is committed to allocating a whopping €1 billion with the aim of strengthening the club and returning it to the top of European football.

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether and an avowed supporter of the “Bianconeri”, confirmed the move in a post on “X”, pointing out: “Today, Tether sent a formal proposal to Exor for the acquisition of its entire stake in Juventus. Our objective has always been to support the team and bring it back to the glory it deserves. As part of our commitment, if this transaction is completed, Tether will invest one billion euros in the club.”

In Italian football there is already a precedent already this year, in September the Dogecoin Foundation, which owns the “memecoin” Doge, took over the club Triestina, which now plays in Serie C.
