Let us remind you that the construction of the circus building on the avenue named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker” began in 1969, it began working on December 18, 1971. What is noteworthy is that the loan that Krasnoyarsk received from the Soyuz State Circus for construction was repaid in just 3 years.
In 2019, the circus was closed for the first major renovation in its life. It was planned that it would open in 2021, but the project was constantly adjusted, including due to changing requirements for keeping animals.
In September, the Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Arkady Zinov said that work had to be suspended because the project had to be changed again — The building does not require major repairs, but reconstruction. At the same time, the roof has already been repaired, glazing has been installed on the second floor, facade insulation has been installed and part of the utility networks have been laid.
