The Multipurpose in Brasov, which costs 73 million euros, reached a percentage of over 70%, and the advanced yard phase made the project not suffer in terms of financing in the austerity package dictated by the Government. We are already working on installing the facade structure, which will give the room a spectacular outer image

The cutting of government funds has hit numerous infrastructure sports projects in recent weeks, but there are some objectives that have “dribbled” the austerity policy imposed by the Victoria Palace.

Among them are also the Multipathy-Colossium from Brasov, which, in an advanced phase of execution, goes further with the investments and the site. “We have the support of the CNI in this regard and, moreover, it would be very difficult to manage conservation works at this time. It would cost quite a lot,” says the head of the site, Narcis Florescu.

The project in the center of the country costs 356.7 million lei (73 million euros) – 96.5% of the funds incurred by the CNI, the difference of 3.5% from the town hall. The Bistrita company MIS Grup is the one that deals with the lifting of the Polyvalent Brasov, in combination with Electrogrurup SA (Cluj), Enerdel Art (Brașov) and Yenigun (Turkey).

“Overall, we are about 70 percent with the whole complex,” explains Narcis Florescu. This is the circular building with two integrated rooms (one large with a capacity of 10,059 places, a secondary one, heating or for lower large -scale competitions – 1,152 places), plus the park, with green spaces, pedestrian areas, bicycle tracks and alleys guarded by trees.

“The masonry works were done in the Great Hall, on all levels. We are over 95 percent at this chapter. Only certain areas where very large equipment will come.

But the multipurpose cover will be the one that will give it a special elegance: “I started the metal facade, an extraordinary element from an architectural point of view. It will look fantastic at the end. It will contain a collection of polycarbonate panels, in which LED light sources will be integrated, with an individual supply.

Florescu is involved in March in coordinating the works at the foot of Tâmpei: “When I present to friends or knowledge, I say I am the head of the site at the Colosseum in Brasov, because it is a construction that leads to the original from Rome.”

We have already started the works on the exterior arrangements. I am now referring to the installation of the resistance structure for three large shadows, which will be at the entrance to the complex

Ready to operate toward the end of 2026

But when will everything be ready? Towards the end of 2026, they are the estimates of the builders. That is, a delay of almost a year, caused by a number of complications on the installation side, which involved a redesign of the circuits.

The Brasov Multipurpose will host multisport competitions (field tennis, table tennis, basketball, handball, badminton, volleyball, boxing, gymnastics, shooting, dumbbells, karate, judo, sports dance), concerts, congresses, symposiums or varnishes.

The land will be equipped with a removable parquet, adaptable to different sports, homologable in the case of basketball competitions. For handball, there will be a special PVC floor.

On the roof will be mounted a module with 1,500 photovoltaic panels of 275 W each, in order to increase the energy performance.

GROUND FLOOR – Public access, commercial spaces, bar services, bathrooms, 8 stairs inputs

entresol – spaces dedicated to the public, bathrooms, exterior access loggia, conference rooms, fences, technical spaces, kitchen

1st floor – public spaces, VIP, press, restaurant, terrace, kitchen, technical/storage spaces.
