In Kansk, two drug pawnbrokers were detained with a large batch of methadone. The friends arrived from Krasnoyarsk at night and immediately went to the apartment they had rented for a “business trip,” but the police were already waiting for them at the entrance.
It was established that a 39-year-old resident of the regional center, in order to make easy money and obtain free prohibited substances for personal use, involved her 43-year-old friend in their distribution.
“The operatives of the Kan police department had previously heard about the criminal exploits of women, therefore, having received information that the pawnbrokers would be on their territory, they acted proactively. During the inspection, they seized a polymer bag from a 43-year-old Krasnoyarsk woman, which contained a scattering of 246 packages in thermal film, prepared for creating hiding places, as well as two sealed bags with another 154 packaged bookmarks. The examination showed that previously convicted women planned to distribute almost 115 grams of methadone,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
