

“Of the 100 companies represented in the rating – leaders in terms of the amount of taxes paid in 2024 – four companies represent the tobacco industry. Second place in the rating was taken by the energy company DTEK. It should be taken into account that significant payments to the tobacco industry are due to the excise burden on their products. Without this, DTEK would have taken first place,” the rating analysts noted.
The material states that during the full-scale invasion, DTEK implemented the project of the first stage of the Tiligul wind farm at 114 MW for €200 million and continues to develop the station, investing €650 million in its construction. Also, together with American partners, DTEK built the largest energy storage system in Ukraine at 200 MW worth €125 million.
“The company and our shareholder invest their funds in Ukraine and attract external financing to create new infrastructure and modernize existing facilities,” DTEK said in a comment to the publication.
