The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Sunday, during a visit to Vaslui county, that checks will be started in private clinics from all over the country to see if these sanitary institutions comply with the legal norms in force, informs AGERPRES.
The decision comes after a 29-year-old woman died from a surgery performed in a private clinic in Constanta county.
“In Romania there are many clinics that work on the ground floor of a block, I have often said this, and most of them, unfortunately, do not respect the norm in force for organizing and functioning these clinics and put the lives of people, the lives of patients in danger. For this reason, at national level, the Ministry of Health, through the Sanitary Inspection, will be checked, Or less improvised, it fully respects the norm, ”said Rogobete.
The Minister of Health said that during the day of Monday the Control Body of the Ministry of Health will be present at the private clinic in Constanta.
“The control body will go to Constanta on Monday morning at the first hour. It will be a common control with the State Sanitary Inspection. They will check if the ATI clinic, the operating block and the way of organizing the sanitary unit correspond to the norm in force. And I will certainly make public the result of the control body. of the legislation or the way of organizing that clinic.
A 29 -year -old girl died on Wednesday at the Constanta County Emergency Clinical Hospital, following the complications after giving birth to a private clinic, the police opening a criminal case in this case.
