Former Flavius ​​Domide football player died at the age of 79, the UTA Arad club announced, in a statement on the Facebook page.

Flavius ​​Domit was a symbol footballer of the team in 1960-1970, being nicknamed the “terrible child of Arad football”. He is considered the leader of the generation that brought to the banks of Mures the last two national titles, the moment Feyenoord or the European spring of 1972, writes in the team's statement.

Flavius ​​Domide was born in Arad on May 7, 1946 and became a “dwarf” of the UTA when he was 11 years old. Raised in Junior by Coco Dumitrescu, he was quickly noted by Cibi Braun, the coach of the first team at that time. Once entered the circuit, during the 1965-1966 season, it would remain a fixed and favorite piece of the grandstand until 1979.

He was also a player with the national team, part of the qualified band at the 1970 World Championship.

After retiring from the lawn, he occupied the technical bank, first at the Center for Children and Junior of the UTA, then the second and main of the first team. His name is linked to the return of the UTA on the first stage in 1993. A few years later, he accepted the position of president, at a difficult moment, while the existence of the club was increasingly difficult.
