Plague Outbreak Reported in Russia Following Lab Incident

A significant outbreak of plague has been reported in Russia, originating from a laboratory incident in the Irkutsk region. A 28-year-old employee of the anti-plague institute accidentally broke a vial containing the infectious disease. Following her subsequent death in the hospital, authorities have isolated around 200 individuals who had contact with her, as some are already exhibiting symptoms.
The hospital has been placed under quarantine as a precautionary measure. Despite the gravity of the situation, officials claim that everything is under control and that there is no cause for alarm, although skepticism remains among the public regarding the true scale of the outbreak.
