A Disney theme park employee in Florida was injured after he stopped a 180-pound fake boulder heading toward the audience during a show inspired by the “Indiana Jones” universe.

The scene of the huge boulder chasing Indiana Jones is one of the most iconic in the 1981 film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first in the famous adventure series directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford.

Disney confirmed that the accident occurred during a show dedicated to the famous character Indiana Jones, stating that the object deviated from its normal trajectory, reports Agerpres, citing AFP.

The force of the impact threw the man to the ground. He was immediately helped by his colleagues, and after standing up he appeared to be bleeding from the scalp.

A Disney spokesman told AFP on Friday that safety was a priority for the company and announced that the element of the show would be changed after the security team completed its assessment of the incident.
