This is how much the flights of Polish MPs cost. They speak up. There were words about “idiots”
Members of the Polish Parliament can count on many amenities resulting from the duties they perform. These include, among others: the right to free air travel. Members of the Sejm of the 10th term use it very eagerly. According to Interia, over the last two years they have already completed a total of 17,000. 378 flights on domestic routes.
For each such trip in 2024, the carrier received PLN 735 from the state budget. This year, the amount is PLN 151 higher. This means that in total, MPs have already “lost” PLN 13.7 million of taxpayers' money.

As we read, Robert Dowhan from KO made the most cruises at that time. The state budget spent PLN 192,000 on his travels, which included 244 flights. PLN 762. In second place in this ranking was Łukasz Mejza from PiS – 203 flights. Third is Jacek Karnowski, who made two fewer trips than the parliamentarian from Jarosław Kaczyński's party.

MPs explain about the flights. “I don't argue with idiots”
According to Dowhan, dealing with the issue of parliamentary flights is “making a storm out of nothing.”
“So what should I do, should I sail along the Oder, then to the Baltic Sea and down the Vistula to Warsaw? So, what should I do?” – asks an MP from the Lubusz Voivodeship in an interview with Interia. As he emphasizes, everyone who receives a parliamentary mandate has the right to exercise their rights.

Mejza speaks in a similar tone. The MP from Zielona Góra (Lubusz Voivodeship) also draws attention to the large distance of his constituency from Warsaw. He also calculates that since he flew just over 200 times during this term, it means that he flew to and from the capital once a week. “If anyone thinks this is a lot, they are an idiot. And I don't argue with idiots. During this time, I prefer to read a good book or go to boxing training” – sums up.
