Post-traumatic growth coaches Vladimir Vdovenko and Maxim Polupanov held a meeting for defenders released from captivity who are undergoing reintegration in Nemirov. This was reported by the Heart of Azovstal website.
Ninety military members who are participating in a post-captivity recovery program joined a meeting with post-traumatic growth coaches, the organization noted.
“During the meeting, the trainers spoke about the possibilities of support from the NGO “Heart of Azovstal” and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, which use post-traumatic growth approaches in working with veterans. They explained what this approach entails and how the experience can become a resource for later life, and also exchanged contacts for further support,” the message notes.
Heart of Azovstal trainers provide support and assistance in a peer-to-peer format. They themselves have experience of war, restoration and rethinking of what they experienced.
“Separately, during the meeting, they emphasized: each of the defenders is not only one who survived, but also a person who has the power to be reborn,” wrote the organizers of the event.
