Pole is a candidate for the prime minister of Lithuania. “This is his advantage”
-The 34-year-old Duchniewicz is the youngest among the names mentioned, there is not much administrative experience, he has been taking the serious position of the Vilnius region only for two years-said Antoni Radczenko, the editor of the Dziennik Kurier Wileński. He emphasized that “this is also his advantage.”
– Young, ambitious, efficient, unhealed in no scandals, without so -called corpses in the closet – these features in the current situation, when we have a prime minister entangled in corruption, disappearing in the atmosphere of scandals, are very important – said Radczenko.
Is the Lithuanian society ready for the prime minister, a representative of the Polish national minority? Answering this question, Radczenko noted that Duchniewicz never hid, that he was Polish, that he graduated from Polish school, defends the Polish minority, but in public space he is associated with national policy, and not the one regarding national minorities. He also appears in the opposition to the electoral action of Poles in Lithuania-the Association of Christian families (AWPL-ZCHR), groups that have no good ratings in Lithuanian society.
The Pole wants to become the prime minister of Lithuania. Here is his biggest obstacle
In the opinion of Radchenko, the greatest obstacle of Duchniewicz's greatest obstacle to the head of the government is the fact that he is the Merr of the Vilnius region chosen two years ago in direct elections.
-For three decades in the Vilnius region, AWPL-ZChR ruled undividedly. During the last local elections, Duchniewicz won for hair in the fight against the AWPL-ZCHR candidate. If he now gives up the position of Mera for the prime minister, then social democrats can lose power in the region, very important, which surrounds the capital – says Radczenko.
The Prime Minister of Lithuania will resign
Lithuania is waiting for a hot political period. On Monday, together with Prime Minister Paluckasas, the entire government will resign. According to the law, on the day of resignation, the president is to sign a decree about its acceptance and commission the government to temporarily perform the office until the new office is appointed and appointed a temporary prime minister. From that moment, within 15 days, the president will have to present to the Sejm to consider the candidacy for the position of prime minister.
After its approval by the Sejm, on the following 15 days, a new composition of the Council of Ministers and the government program agreed with the president, who will approve the parliament, is to be presented.
Observers do not rule out that the current ruling coalition will change during the upcoming political negotiations.
Currently, the ruling Centrolevil coalition is made up of three groups: the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (in the autumn parliamentary elections it won 52 seats in a 141-person Sejm), Świt Nemunas (20 seats) and the Democratic Union “in the name of Lithuania” (14 seats).
