Hungarian writer Lazslo Krasznahorkai won the Nobel Prize for Literature 2025, the Swedish Royal Academy announced. Some of his books are already translated into Romanian, at the Three Publishing House and Pandora M.
Lazslo Krasznahorkai was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for “for his impressive and visionary work, which, in the middle of the apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the power of art,” announced the Nobel Prize Committee.
Two of his books are already translated into Romania. It is about the “returning home of Baron Wenckheim” and “Satantango”, which costs 29 lei, respectively 33 lei, on the publishing site.
The “returning home of Baron Wenckheim” was also rewarded with the Booker International 2015 and National Book Award 2019.

Another book signed by Lazslo Krasznahorkai already translated into Romanian is “Satantango”, a novel that was screened in 1994, directed by Béla Tarr.
