– We will want to build a large training center for Alpine in Zakopane. For me, Zakopane and Szczyrk are two COS, which after the Winter Olympic Milan-Cortin Olympic Games are to become pillars of the reconstruction of Alpine skiing in Poland-said Raś.

The deputy minister added that work is being carried out on the restoration of the ski station on the nose, which is to again become a training base for players.

– We move forward with the restoration of Nosal, despite the large malice of some environments, which does not match, so that this traditional slope returns to sport – he noted. It is about the activities of ecological organizations that have been blocking the investment for years.

Raś pointed out that the current Alpine training system in Poland is largely based on the private funds of the parents' parents.

– This sport cannot be reserved only for children of rich parents. The Polish Ski Association does not even hide it. This is an unacceptable situation – he emphasized.

According to the deputy minister, you need to create a long -term development plan for this discipline.

– We need to build a system, have good trainers and appropriate training infrastructure. We want to oblige sports relationships to present professional, horizontal plans for the development of their disciplines in the perspective of three Olympic cycles – he explained.

Raś also informed that the Italian ambassador proposed to establish cooperation between Zakopane and Cortina d'Ampezzo – a place where Zakopane Franciszek Gąsienica Groń won the first winter Olympic medal for Poland in 1956 – if the councilors express such will, it would be a great promotion of Zakopane – he assessed.

On Sunday, the Municipal Stadium was opened in Zakopane at ul. Orkana. The construction of the facility lasted about three years and cost PLN 28 million, of which PLN 5 million came from domestic funding. The stadium measuring 90 x 45 m is surrounded by a four -tire treadmill. The facility is to serve primarily sports training and local football teams. (PAP)
