Daniel Obajtek attacks the president of Orlen, Ireneusz Fąfara. “What was this competition for?”

“What was this competition for? Another farce made for the naive public,” Obajtek wrote. Orlen's press office responded to the former president's entry, emphasizing that the competitions are held, among others, in order to avoid the need to refer to allegations similar to those against Obajtek. They include:
The competition for the position of president and seven members of the management board was announced in early April. As Dawid Czopek, a fuel market expert and manager of the Polaris Fund, explained in an interview with TVN24, such activities are standard in listed companies, in accordance with the code of good practices.
Daniel Obajtek, in response to the press office's comment, appealed for the publication of Ireneusz Fąfara's declaration of assets. “So since the competition checked it, Mr. Fąfara should publish – like me – his declaration of assets. When will he present all the documents?” – wrote the former president of Orlen.

It is worth recalling that Daniel Obajtek did not publish any asset declarations during his term at Orlen in 2018–2024. He submitted the first such declaration only after taking up his mandate as an MEP in 2024. Previously, as the mayor of Pcim, he submitted asset declarations in the years 2006–2015.
