In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the smuggler was detained for the sale of lumber abroad. This was reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.
Police officers found that in 2023, the 28-year-old director of the enterprise in the trade in timber used old goods purchase agreements. So he tried to create the appearance that smuggling lumber is legally sold to Tajikistan.
The man sent false data to the customs authorities. During his work, he took out 320 cubic meters of conifers from Russia, which did not have documents about their legal origin. The amount of damage amounted to three million rubles.
3 criminal cases were instituted against the director. He faces up to five years in prison.
