Six pennies of difference. This is how prices in stores have changed


At the moment, we have to pay an average of PLN 96 and 25 groszy for a dozen or so basic food products – according to the analysis of Panparagon experts for Business Insider Polska. This is 6 groszy compared to the previous week.
At the same time, the change may worry – for the previous two weeks prices in stores have dropped, and now they are slightly rising.
Potatoes are getting more and more expensive
By as much as 5.6 percent Potatoes increased in a weekly terms. Now 1 kg costs 2 PLN 48 gr. By 4.2 percent Instead, the price of wheat flour went up, and 4.1 percent – broccoli.

Fortunately, the Panparagon application experts also noted falling prices. This applies, among others, to carrots (a decrease by 4.1 percent) and rapeseed oil (almost 3 %). Products such as butter, milk or apples are also cheaper.

In September 2025, consumer inflation in Poland stabilized at 2.9 percent. year on year. This is a positive surprise because a slight growth was expected. According to preliminary data, in comparison year -on -year food prices increased by 4.2 percent, and energy carriers by 2.4 percent. The fuels got cheaper by 4.9 percent
