The value of the production of the Polish industry sold in April 2025 was about 1.2% higher than recorded in the same month of the previous year – the Central Statistical Office informed. For comparison, a year ago – in April 2024 – production increased by as much as 7.8% yard. Therefore, we were dealing with the effect of a very high last year's reference base.

Relative to March, the value of the production of the industry sold increased by 3.5% after growing by as much as 8.6% recorded a month earlier. After eliminating the impact of seasonal factors Production sold industry was 0.2% lower than a year ago. And the infected monthly data showed an increase of 1.0% compared to March 2025 – GUS informed.

Economists expected a slight decrease in industrial production per year and nearly 5 % recourse relative to March. The median forecasts were -0.2% of yards and -4.8% MDM in the case of unrelated data. However, the actual reading turned out to be better than these expectations.

In March and in February, data from the Polish industry did not meet the expectations of analysts. Over a year, the annual dynamics of industrial production in Poland interlaced positive and negative values. Over the past six months we had four readings below zero (including today) and only two in the plus.

At the April result, mining results were very poor, where the production was 10.6% smaller than a year ago. In industrial processing (i.e. the most important segment of these statistics), however, there was an increase of 1.7% yard. In turn, in the energy and heating room there was a decrease in production sold by 1.7%, and in water supply and junk business there was an increase of 1.4% yard.

Nevertheless, despite the smaller and larger surprises for over a year, we have been observing the apathy in the Polish manufacturing sector and the lack of clear reflection after poor previous years. In the whole of 2024, the production of industry sold was 0.3% higher compared to 2023, when a 1.7% decrease was recorded compared to 2022.

In the period of January -April 2025, the production of industry sold was, however, 0.8% higher than in the same period of 2024. A year ago, an increase was also noted by 0.8% of yaws a year ago.
