Less than a year until the start of the largest football competition in the world, FIFA and Adidas presented Trionida, the official ball of the World Football Championship 2026, a competition that will be held for the first time in history in three countries – USA, Canada and Mexico.
The name of the ball, “Trionida”, comes from Spanish and means “three waves”, a tribute to the three host countries. Its vibrant design combines red, green and blue, the representative colors for the three nations.
Design with unique symbols for the three nations
Each host is present on the ball by a symbol:
In addition, the golden elements refer to the World Cup trophy, a symbol of the most coveted football distinctions.
The innovative construction has only four panels with fluid geometry, which form triangles – a direct reference to the unit of the three hosts. Add deep seams for aerodynamic stability and grip optimized under moisture conditions.
For the World Cup a state -of -the -art technology has been prepared
As in the 2022 edition of Qatar, the ball includes the “Connected Ball” technology, a 500Hz sensor that transmits real -time movement data to the Var system. This provides referees crucial aid in important decisions, such as offside phases.
“The official ball for the FIFA World Cup 26 is here and is gorgeous! Adidas has created a new symbol of world football, which reflects the unit and passion of the three host nations. I can hardly wait to see this balloon,” said Gianni Infantino, FIFA President.
