Because he won the last act, 240,000 euros will enter Craiova's accounts. Instead, U Cluj has to settle for only 10,000, after losing the final.
Also, Craiova also received 50,000 euros during the competition, for qualifying in the semi-finals. And 28,000 thanks to the results in the groups, where each point was rewarded with 4,000 euros. Olteni scored 7 points.
In total, the winners of the trophy won 314,000 euros from the FRF at the end of the Romanian Cup edition. To this sum is added the money won from the tickets for the matches with FCSB (group) and with CFR Cluj (quarters), the only games played at home, on “Ion Oblemenco”, during the competition.
It's a nice feeling for everyone, because we worked hard. The whole city deserved this trophy. I worked a lot. When you reach the final, one of the teams wins and the other loses. I think we deserved to win in regulation time, but it came down to penalty kicks.
It is important now to keep our feet on the ground. A very difficult match is coming up and we will prepare for it. It won't be easy, there is no easy game in the play-offs, but we will give it our all.
