Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed about the Wednesday incident near the port of Szczecin on Thursday. He said then that “Russian units” took part in the incident. The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Interior and Administration Karolina Gałecka reported that on Wednesday around 6.37 there was an incident, which consisted in the fact that there was a Russian boat near the gas pipeline for about 20 minutes. After that time, he left the place at the Border Guard.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, when asked about the incident on Thursday at Radio Zet, pointed out that this is “classified information”. He added that he would not comment on them.

– The fact that there is no information in the port (about the incident), it is also not that we do not know what is happening when it comes to different sabotage. And they are intensifying in Poland – said the deputy prime minister, asked why the sea ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście say that in the last few days they have not recorded any incident.

– The Internal Security Agency has more and more applications and implementation regarding what can happen in Poland. Detacts regarding actions related to the fact that Russia here (in Poland) wanted to do sabotage campaigns regarding explosions, they are becoming something unique, but we see them more and more often. There are also more and more in cyberspace of these acts of aggression – said Gawkowski.

He informed that the data after the end of the third quarter of this year indicate that we will have the most in the history of registered incidents in cyberspace, counting year on year. Critical infrastructure was most often attacked, especially the area of ​​water and sewage – said the minister of digitization.

He noted that Poland refutes 99 percent. attacks. – If the attacks taken for implementation are over 100,000 during the year, then this 1 percent give several thousand that may happen – he emphasized.

According to Gawkowski, in Wednesday was reported over 2.5 thousand attacks. – I am talking about two national entities, NASK and the Ministry of National Defense. There were over 700 those undertaken for implementation. And this shows the scale, I am talking about one day – emphasized the deputy prime minister.

Gałecka announced on Thursday that in the Wednesday incident about 300 m from the pipeline, through which the gas platform is sent ashore. As she said, the Border Guard observed a 70-meter Russian cutter, which sailed from Russia and stopped around the pipeline for about 20 minutes. The guard then contacted the boat with an order to leave the area immediate, and the unit followed the recommendation. Gałecka pointed out that the actions of the Border Guard were undertaken very quickly, and the area is still monitored and observed by the services subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration. She did not provide a specific location of the incident.

A spokeswoman for the Ports of the Ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście SA Weronika Gocłowska emphasized that the ports in Szczecin and Świnoujście are protected and monitored around the clock. She indicated that the incidents were not recorded directly on the port of Szczecin or Świnoujście. (PAP)
