Talks about Poland's foreign policy


“At the request of Donald Tusk, tomorrow at 12.00 President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki will meet with the Prime Minister in the Presidential Palace” – reported Rafał Leśkiewicz in an entry on the social platform X.
Earlier on Wednesday at the prime minister, referring during a press conference to the conversation of European leaders with the US President Donald Trump, in which Nawrocki took part, he reminded that On Tuesday, the government adopted a position on American-Russian talks. He assured that it was also transferred to President Nawrocki “in the context of his contacts with the American administration”.
Tusk assured that regardless of what Nawrocki thinks about him, “In matters of security, foreign policy, war and peace “they have to cooperate with each other. Because – as the prime minister said – the constitutional task of the government is to conduct foreign policy, and the president – when he represents Poland – should present a position developed by the government.
“It is possible that tomorrow I will talk about it with President Nawrocki, so that we would never be able to play through anyone, neither by our enemies or our friends” – announced the head of government.

On Wednesday, a meeting was held in a narrow format of European leaders with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski. Prime Minister Donald Tusk took part in it. During this conversation, a European position was discussed before Trump's Friday meeting with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The second meeting is a teleconference of European leaders with Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelnski, at which the European position was presented. In this meeting, Poland was represented by President Karol Nawrocki. After this conversation, the third meeting of thirty European leaders took place with Tusk's participation.
