A journalist who worked on the “1+1” and “STB” TV channels, as well as the former press secretary of politician Mikheil Saakashvili, Darina Chizh, contributed part of the bail for the ex-head of the Presidential Office Andrei Yermak. She reported this on Facebook.
She published a screenshot confirming the sending of funds to the account of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, hiding the amount.
“I very clearly distinguish where there is justice and where there is reprisal disguised as it. Therefore, today I am paying bail for Andrei Ermak… And I have no doubt: if Saakashvili were free now, he would do exactly the same,” she wrote.
In her next post, Chizh indicated that she had been fired.
“Ermak hasn’t been fired yet, but I have already,” she said.
“Chesno” indicates that she heads the law firm “Bogomazov and Partners” and lives in Kyiv. The woman remains a member of Saakashvili’s political party “Rukh of New Forces” and is included in the electoral list at number 35.
