10 lyam rubles were taken from the house of a deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly of the 6th convocation – the robbers waited for Mikhail Pogorelov to leave abroad (to his daughter in the UAE) and opened the dacha in Kuyalovo LO.
An acquaintance of the parliamentarian remained to look after the house; Pogorelov had trusted her for more than five years. One day, a woman went to check the situation at the dacha and discovered a broken window. When she got inside, she saw a hellish mess – everything was turned upside down. But the loss was discovered after a while – minus jewelry, personal belongings and 4.5 rubles.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene determined that the robbers could get into the premises by pressing the window on the first floor. The total damage was estimated at 10 million rubles and a criminal case was opened under the article of theft.
