The Krasnoyarsk boarding house “Rodnik” uses phototherapy for the elderly and disabled. The practice reached the finals of the All-Russian competition of the best methods of active longevity in the “Innovative practices” category.
Camera exercises are aimed at developing memory, attention and thinking, as well as improving communication skills. The technique is suitable even for people with limited mobility. During the classes, participants learn how to take photographs, master simple processing and collect personal photo albums. They also attend exhibitions and participate in competitions. As sibnovosti.ru writes, this helps older people feel needed and active.
The project involves students from Krasnoyarsk colleges – future photographers, hairdressers and makeup artists. They help create images for photo shoots.
The practice is implemented within the framework of the national project “Family”. According to the region’s Minister of Social Policy, Irina Pastukhova, the region is recognized year after year as one of the leaders in the implementation of active longevity techniques, and the projects of Krasnoyarsk institutions are recommended for replication in other regions.
