Trump proposes the use of dangerous cities as “training lands” for the army: “America is under invasion from within”

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, in front of a meeting with dozens of generals and admirals in Quantico, Virginia, that the US Army should use American cities as “Training lands”, ÎIn the context of a federal campaign to repress crime, which he described right “A war from within.”

Trump stressed that the homeland's defense is “The most important priority” of the army and suggested that the present military leaders could be involved in future federal interventions in cities led by Democrats, such as Chicago and New York, according to The Hill.
“There are very insecure places and we will put them in order one by one. And this will be an important part for some of these rooms. It is also a war. A war from within.” said the leader from the White House.
He added that he told the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, that certain dangerous cities should be used for military exercises. “We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our army – the National Guard, but also the regular army – because we will enter Chicago very soon. It is a big city with an incompetent governor.” Trump said.
The White House has already ordered the troops of the National Guard at Washington DC and Memphis, Tennessee, and this week was announced the sending of military and Portland, Oregon. The president has repeatedly threatened to expand this measure in other cities, including Chicago, New York and New Orleans, despite the opposition expressed by local authorities, who warn that the presence of the military could escalate tensions.
Democratic leaders compared Trump's initiative with authoritarian tactics, accusing him to use the army against his own citizens.
“America is under invasion from within. We are under invasion from within”, Trump said. “It is not different from an external enemy, except it is much more difficult because it does not wear uniforms.”
