The remains of the unmanned aerial vehicle were found in the vicinity of the city of Tulcza, located near the border with Ukraine – said the Romanian Ministry of Defense. Tulcza is the inland seaport of this country, lying in the Danube delta.

In the place where the remains were discovered, activities are conducted by a team consisting of specialists from the ministry, border guards and Romanian intelligence. The ministry emphasized that the fragments found will be secured and subjected to tests.

A drone captured over Romania

On September 13, a few days after Russian drones violated the airspace of Poland, Romania's air force intercepted the Russian drone in the airspace of their country. At that time, the F-16 aircraft followed the drone flight to about 20 km southwest of Chilia Veche, after which the machine disappeared from Radars. The wreck of that machine has already been found.

“The drone did not fly over inhabited areas and did not pose a direct threat to the security of the population,” said the Ministry of Defense of Romania.
